“Italiocracy” is dedicated to some former bandmates of mine, who are the ones who helped write the song. Alex Appleton, Chris Barnes, Ben Edwards and Kyle Mac. It had such an impact on me in 2007 that I just HAD to revive it….Yeah, I love you guys. I hope you like what’s been done with it!

- Ant Mas / The Flatline Symphony

The Flatline Symphony will be releasing “Italiocracy” for free download! Until then, enjoy this in-studio video!

Session 606 performing “Exodus 8:25” live at the Keltic House in Fishkill, New York on October 1st, 2009.

filmed by Morbid Mentality Studios

I absolutely love this song and cannot wait to hear it recorded!  This performance of “Exodus 8:25” is just Anthony Masington with his voice and guitar, but there’s a hell of a lot more to the tune.  The demo I’ve heard is deeply intricate, with Anthony performing all of the instruments.

That’s definitely Jimmy Eppard off to the side adjusting the sound levels!  And Josh Eppard screaming, “yeah!” from the crowd in the beginning.

The album, currently being referred to as H&R, has begun production at Applehead Studio.  In a blog entry we’ve been teased about guest appearances, but it’s clear that producer extraordinaire, Chris Bittner, is performing bass guitar on the recordings.  The drums are being played by The Flatline Symphony bandmate, Bryan Mills.

Anthony writes and performs vocals in The Flatline Symphony. They recently recorded in Bethesda, Maryland with Will Donnelly and Taylor Larson (Sky Eats Airplane, Life On Repeat, Of Legends, Count Your Blessings, Everyone Dies In Utah).  Wednesday, September 22, 2010 one of those tunes will be released to digital music retailers across the web.  ”Cross The Vulture” will be up on iTunes, Amazon, Napster, Rhapsody, Zune, and many other sites.

The following day - September 23, 2010 - Anthony is releasing, across those aforementioned sites, an 8 song EP of some different material he’s written.  Anthony Masington is an incredibly prolific songwriter, encompassing a multitude sounds.  A Scream For The Memory is one of those sides.  The EP is titled, Pop! Goes The No-Wave.  My songwriting debut makes an appearance on the release.

Show your ears some love and pick up these 9 songs next week! (Please!)

xoxo
