After a lot of thought, introspection and discussion, Coheed and Cambria will be continuing our journey without bassist Michael Todd. We have spoken to him and this is a mutual decision between both parties. Michael was a great contributor; our hearts go out to his family and to all those who who appreciate his talents. We wish him nothing but the very best.
We are currently writing and recording songs for a new album, as well as a couple compilations this fall. We are very excited about how the songs are shaping up and can’t wait to share them with you.
We’d like to thank Wes Styles for filling in for the live gigs in the interim, including the upcoming South America and Mexico shows. A belated thanks to Rob Gill for covering in Boston; and the biggest thank you to all of you for your unwavering support.
A new chapter awaits.
Love,
Coheed and Cambria
While this is clearly in response to the events of July 10, 2011- Coheed and Cambria reassure fans that they are continuing to write and record via this series of illusive videos

Another old Shabutie video has surfaced, courtesy of WoodstockBuddha on YouTube - Shameless, Kinderwhore, and another song that I’ve never heard before. Anyone got info on this?
An early look at Shabutie in late 1997 at the winter break Christmas time show at the Woodstock Community Center, Woodstock, NY - Dec. 27, 1997 - Claudio Sanchez, Michael Todd and Nate Kelley. An extremely rare and rough glimpse at Coheed and Cambria history
Michael Todd was arrested today on what we consider very serious charges and therefore he will not be finishing up the current tour. Wes Styles, long time member of the Coheed family will take on bass duties starting tomorrow for the remaining dates. No shows will be canceled.
We are surprised to say the least and will address the situation with Michael after the tour. For now, we just want to have a great time out here and finish with some killer shows in Boston, Poughkeepsie, Quebec City and Halifax.

clip from Coheed and Cambria’s midnight album release show at Crash Mansion in New York City for their Columbia debut, “Good Apollo, I’m Burning Star IV, Volume I: From Fear Through The Eyes of Madness” on September 20th, 2005. IscariotMoon of Cobalt and Calcium recorded the entire set on his digital camera, and posted it to share with those who could not make it.
Earlier that day the band had done a signing and acoustic performance out on Long Island at Looney Tunes. It was a long day, but the band didn’t show any signs of slowing down. The animated shorts (which were originally aired on MTV) looped on the screens around the venue. The love at Crash Mansion was so widespread that the crowd sat on the floor for this very special, highly intimate performance!
Coheed and Cambria (which was Claudio Sanchez, Travis Stever, Mic Todd, and Josh Eppard) performed:
1. “Welcome Home”
2. “A Favor House Atlantic”
3. “Wake Up”
4. “Final Cut” (the very first live attempt at performing this song full-band acoustic)

Mours
“Sharks in London” (demo)
Produced by: David Parker, Josh Eppard, Anthony Masington
Reblog via theneesh:
I still can’t get enough of this song… and it’s been out since February 2009! Mours is Josh Eppard’s developing rock project with friends and fellow musicians- Dave “Wavis” Parker, and Anthony Masington. This specific tune also features Mic Todd on vocals, Kurt Brown on guitar, and Dave Daw on bass. There’s so much emotion embodied in this song. Love it!
I can’t wait for the day when this project picks up again.
For the past year, Josh Eppard has been busy touring the US and Canada with his spankin’ new rock supergroup, Terrible Things. Their debut record came out in stores on August 31st. Josh has also been getting the release of his second Weerd Science record, Sick Kids, in order. Actually, in a recent interview with CWG Magazine, Josh said to look for the record in April and that Weerd Science will be performing at Warped Tour 2011! Today’s his birthday too, so happy birthday to him.
Dave Parker has been writing and performing bass with The City Never Sleeps.
Anthony Masington has joined The Flatline Symphony on vocals. Their single, “Cross The Vulture,” is out on iTunes and TFS is in the process of finishing up their debut release, This Is What They Call Surgery. In the past year he also released the first album from his experimental project, A Scream For The Memory. Pop! Goes The No-Wave (Oratorium Records) is up on iTunes as well. Additionally, Ant has entered the studio with his solo rock project, Session 606.
These Mours guys are incredible musicians… on their own, with other musicians, but mostly- together. I can never get sick of “Sharks in London.”
Video still from Weerd Science’s music video debut, “Conspiracy Theories w/Out Mel Gibson” off 2005’s Friends and Nervous Breakdowns available on Equal Vision Records
Yeah- that’s former bandmates Claudio Sanchez torturing Mic Todd. Fun music video! Evolving Media Network did an incredible job!
There’s a few more stills and behind-the-scenes photos from the video shoot as well as various other photos on the A Thousand Torches Flickr page. There’s also a group pool, so if you’ve got thefamily3 photos that you’ve taken on your flickr account, feel free to add ‘em!
