Terrible Things at Vans Warped Tour (by dackalac)
Really excited about this band!

Another old Shabutie video has surfaced, courtesy of WoodstockBuddha on YouTube - Shameless, Kinderwhore, and another song that I’ve never heard before. Anyone got info on this?
Michael Todd was arrested today on what we consider very serious charges and therefore he will not be finishing up the current tour. Wes Styles, long time member of the Coheed family will take on bass duties starting tomorrow for the remaining dates. No shows will be canceled.
We are surprised to say the least and will address the situation with Michael after the tour. For now, we just want to have a great time out here and finish with some killer shows in Boston, Poughkeepsie, Quebec City and Halifax.

basically perfect music for this weather
The news that Andy Jackson had left Terrible Things shocked many, and PropertyOfZack was lucky enough to be able to talk to Josh Eppard from the band yesterday to clear some things up. Josh and I discussed the events that lead up to Jackson’s departure, what side was in charge of making the decision, how they will continue on with him, and more. Please read up on it to get a better sense of the situation, however unfortunate it may be.
Last night Andy Jackson announced to the world that he was no longer a member of Terrible Things. When did Andy inform you and Fred of his decision?
Well, it was me that informed him that he would no longer be in the band. There are a lot of things when you’re in a band, and he lives pretty far away. I don’t really care how people take it. Andy didn’t quit the band; it just kind of happened. I know that that seems like a very kind of convenient thing to say, but he was really far away. We toured as much as we possibly could. We toured pretty non-stop. There was a good seven month block there where we were only home for collectively two or three weeks. It just got to the point where we didn’t know how it was going to work when people lived so far from each other. I don’t know how much I’m permitted to say. Terrible Things is a band. I don’t want to say the wrong things. When you have a record label that is helping to cover those costs things are a lot easier. Terrible Things has been met with a lot of adversity lately in the way that we don’t know if we’re going to be with Universal anymore. Well, I know we’re not going to be. We’re basically dropped from Universal. We’re going to continue on. I just called Andy and had a heart to heart and we just kind of both figured that it didn’t make sense. He’s got other things going on. I realize there are a lot of vague things in there. I don’t want to say anything to upset anybody. Andy didn’t quit the band, and in the same sense he wasn’t fired. It just really had to stop, if that makes any sense.

It’s the 11th Hour, literally. Right now,
Kickstarter [kik-stahrt-er] : an online project fundraising platform launched in 2009, utilized mainly for all types of creative ventures. The project organizer sets a monetary goal and time period to allocate enough pledges to reach that goal. If the predetermined goal is not reached by the conclusion of the set time period, the organizer does not receive any funding.
Weerd Science [weerd sahy-uhns] : the hip-hop pseudonym of American rock musician, Josh Eppard. Eppard is a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist best known for his drumming in the genre-defining “New Prog” band, Coheed and Cambria (3 RIAA Gold certifications: 2 albums, 1 DVD). Founding drummer of 3, Mours and currently drumming in Terrible Things.
Sick Kids [sik kids] : the second full-length album from Weerd Science. Production spanned 2007-2011. Features guest musicians: Chris Bittner, Joey Eppard, Matt The Knife, Dirty Ern, Mazeman, Majestic, Gangstrophogus, Dave Parker and Michael “Clip” Payne of the Parliament Funkadelic. About an individual’s rise, fall, crippling addiction, sex life, and view on the world around him. Will be released May 17, 2011 on Horris Records.
Backer [bak-er] : a beautiful individual who aids in a Kickstarter campaign by making a pledge.
A super cool feature of Kickstarter is the different pledging tiers. Project organizers offer cool things in exchange for levels of pledge amounts.
In the case of Weerd Science’s campaign, the cool things backers will receive range from a single high-quality MP3 song download ($1) to a private concert in your home / a song recorded & produced immediately following the performance / autographed copies of the Sick Kids album for you and your friends / posters for you and your friends / limited edition t-shirt / limited edition hoodie sweatshirt / a USB pill featuring every single Weerd Science song / a special thanks in Weerd Science’s Video Blog. The latter was originally offered for $1K, but has been
of this month-long fundraising crusade.
Fortunately, fellow fans of Weerd Science’s heartwork believe in this cause (and want their damn copy of Sick Kids already) so much that the original goal - set for $4,000 - was reached in about 5 days. Currently, 214% of that goal has been pledged.
The money raised is going into the costs of physically producing the CD, t-shirts, hoodies, USB drives, the first music video from Sick Kids, as well as tour support while Josh is out with MC Lars in the UK in May + Warped Tour all summer.

Done in photoshop and set in the fantasy world of which the story of the band’s music revolves. A great band live, though how could you really go wrong when your subject matter is about wizards, spaceships, talking bicycles, and dragonflies?
This shit is dopeeeeee!
